What Types of Royalties Do I Need to Collect?
Are you collecting every royalty you are owed as a creative? If you have music released as an artist or songwriter or perform live, then you should be collecting royalties. This includes performance royalties, mechanical royalties, sync royalties, artist royalties, and digital performance royalties. More information about this can be found on my video, podcast, and article below. Please reach out to request an informative royalty consultation for your own collection needs.
What Do I Need to Provide for Registrations?
If you decide that you don't have the time or knowledge to handle your own royalty registrations, I offer services for song registrations for each royalty type. This is especially helpful if your focus is on your music and touring. You can find more information about my rates on the Rates section or contact me for further information.
In order for a registration to be successful for any royalty type, accurate and detailed metadata must be provided for the songs. This can include providing the artists, composers, ISRC, date of release, date of creation, and performance dates of the works. Per the Indie Royalties agreement, we will not be liable for any registrations that occur due to any inaccurate data provided, so it is important to provide correct information and composer/publisher splits up front. We can provide you a spreadsheet to fill in this information.
Once you set up an account on your performing rights organization, neighboring rights organization, or mechanical collection company, you will then grant us Admin access to handle your registrations on your account.
